Tim Lindsay, President TBWA\UK and Ireland Group

Tim Lindsay joined TBWA\ in September 2007 as President of TBWA\UK & Ireland Group, charged with providing a robust integrated offering across the TBWA Group companies. After graduating from Cambridge, a progression through the ranks at Grey, TBWA and a newly-formed Lowe Howard-Spink led him to BBH, where he spent nine years running the Levi’s business and was appointed Joint Managing Director. In 1991 he joined Young & Rubicam London for two years before returning to Lowe Howard-Spink as Managing Director, then CEO in 1994. In 1999 he was promoted to President of Lowe & Partners Europe, and then Lowe Lintas & Partners Europe. In 2004 Tim joined Publicis as Chairman UK where he held that position until taking up the role at TBWA.

Matt Shepherd-Smith, CEO

Matt Shepherd-Smith, CEO

Matt Shepherd-Smith was appointed to the position of CEO of TBWA\LONDON in February 2006. He joined TBWA\LONDON in 1998 as Board Director to run Nissan and was later promoted to Head of Account Management and Group Director also responsible for overseeing John Smith’s, Adidas and the hugely successful launch of the London Congestion Charge. In 2002 Matt was voted the IPA Account Handler of the year and named Joint Managing Director, adding Sony PlayStation to his portfolio of business. He became sole Managing Director in 2005 and in February 2006 he was appointed CEO. Previously Matt was Board Account Director at Bates Dorland where he ran Land Rover, Bass and Center Parcs. Prior to Bates Matt worked at Still Price Lintas and Leo Burnett.


Steve Henry, Executive Creative Director

Steve Henry - widely regarded as one of the most brilliant and exciting thinkers in the industry - joined TBWA\LONDON as Executive Creative Director in July 2006. Steve was a founder of, as well as the creative force behind Howell Henry Chaldecott Lury (HHCL) - the agency voted Campaign’s Agency of the Year three times and Campaign’s Agency of the Decade in January 2000. During Steve’s 18 years at HHCL he worked across a variety of clients including; BSkyB, Tango, Robinsons, Pot Noodle, Birds Eye, The AA, Lego, Egg, Amazon, Greenpeace, First Direct, Maxell Tapes, Fuji Film, Danepak Bacon, Homepride to name but a few. Prior to founding HHCL in1987 Steve worked at GGT and WCRS and during his career he has won most of the major creative awards.

Tom Morton, Executive Planning Director

Tom was appointed Executive Planning Director of TBWA\LONDON in October 2007. He joined TBWA\ as Managing Partner in 2005 to oversee planning for the PlayStation and John Smith’s accounts and was promoted to Head of Planning in 2006. Tom has been instrumental to the running of the E.ON, McDonald’s and Haagen-Dazs accounts among many others. Prior to TBWA\, Tom worked at Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe / Y&R which he joined as their youngest-ever board member in 2001, working across the Virgin group of brands. Tom began his advertising career as a planner at BMP DDB in 1996, where he worked on Sony, New Labour, Reuters, The Guardian and the National Dairy Council. Tom is also a regular contributor to APG training courses.


Julie McKeen, Marketing Director

Julie McKeen is Marketing Director of TBWA\LONDON responsible for running the agency’s new business function and marketing efforts. She is also responsible for the marketing of the agency’s brand entertainment arm STREAM\, as well as working closely with TBWA’s partner agencies Tequila, Agency.com, Staniforth and Brand Architecture International to deliver integrated solutions for clients. Named a ‘Face to Watch’ by Campaign, Julie started her career as a graduate at Grey in 1997, before moving to BMP DDB in 1999. As an Account Director she worked on a range of accounts including The Guardian, Sony, Unilever, and Johnson & Johnson moving four years later to Lowe London. As Group Head at Lowe she ran the award-winning Sure and Peperami accounts for Unilever before joining TBWA in December 2006.
