Stream\, the brand entertainment specialist, is continuing its recruitment drive with the announcement that Ben Robinson has been appointed as executive content director. Robinson, has been running Smirnoff Experience globally for the past 8 years, rolling the music event and broadcast property out into 53 different territories in 5 continents.
Robinson is the fourth appointment Stream\ has made this month, as the brand entertainment specialists bolster the team in response to taking on more business from Orange, PlayStation and Eurostar.
Josh Rex has also joined as broadcast director bringing film and TV experience from Carat and adidas. He will be specifically responsible for the expanding business of advertising funded programming and is currently working on Nissan, One Account and PSP.
In addition to these senior recruits, Jodie Nicholson joins the account team from M&C Saatchi, while new PA Katie Lydon is adding some Rock n’ Roll to the team thanks to her famous Uncle (Johnny Lydon).
Stream\ is also on the lookout for another business director to add to the increasingly growing team which is now 30 people strong.
Georgie Summerhayes, managing director of Stream\ said, “It’s great to get people of this calibre on board, they all add specific dimensions to the expanding company at a very exciting time in the brand entertainment business”.
In June this year Orange tasked Stream\ with handling all music activity in addition to their existing role of advising and implementing global and UK film activity. This will involve Stream\ creating festival events, talent deals and mobile gig ticketing amongst other brand entertainment initiatives.
Stream\ has also recently been tasked by PlayStation to devise and negotiate the downloadable entertainment content that will be available on the PSP, which launched this month. In addition Stream\ has been retained to help create and market the new PlayStation Singstar game, available this Xmas, in 8 territories across Europe.
