
Executive Planning Director Tom Morton was one of the talking heads in The Guardian’s recent Future Of Television supplement. Discussing whether TV was in crisis, Tom commented: “TV has never been better. In the old days, if you wanted to make a successful TV programme it had to be bland, was shown on one of three channels, it had to appeal in a weak way to everyone and it was unlikely to be repeated. Now most TV programmes can be downloaded, sold in DVD boxsets, shown on repeats on multi-channel and - with stations like HBO and More 4 - can be riskier, edgier and more inventive.” Read the full article
